Lee
Lee Roy Selmon's story combines the virtues of family football scholarship with community service. The first line of his family was that his father was the youngest of nine kids raised by Eufala by Lucious Selmon. In football, he was alongside three brothers from Oklahoma. The three brothers were all All-America. One year 1973 Lucious Jr. Dewey and Lee Roy were starters. Lee Roy has won both the Outland Award and the Lombardi Award as the top lineman in America. In three years, Oklahoma was 32-1-1 with Roy being the starting player. They also won 2 national titles. As a National Football Foundation Scholarship-Athlete, Selmon was given an award for his third time in 1975. Selmon was awarded a degree from education. Lee Roy's fourth volunteer service was ten-hours per week in volunteer work during the college. After graduating, Lee Roy settled in Tampa and spent the next nine years playing for Tampa's Buccaneers. 3 times, he was selected All-Pro. He began his business career. His first job was as a Account Relations Officer with First Florida Bank, Tampa. He was a member previously for the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. He was no surprise that the year 1982 was when the Junior Chamber of Commerce named Lee Roy as one of the 10 young stars across the nation. Lee Roy weighed 256 lbs and was a tall of 6'2 inches. In his time at college, he was the captain of the 1975 team. In 1993, he was a part of his current position at University of South Florida as the associate director of athletics.
