Lucy Liu, an American voice actress producer director and singer is also an actress. She's attractive and talented actress who has helped many Asian actors to make it in Hollywood. In the wake of a number of first performances in popular shows she achieved fame by joining the cast in the series legal comedy Ally McBeal where she played the evil Ling Woo. Her sudden fame translated into films roles like Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. When she appeared in Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an excellent performance as Japanese crime boss O-Ren Ishii. At the same time she was playing major parts in other failed box office films like Rise: Blood Hunter. Then she began voicing characters from animated films like Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's role was in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen film, failed to produce positive results. In the course of her recurring roles in the critically acclaimed police drama Southland allowed her to regain recognition as a well-known actress. Liu takes her time choosing roles so as to avoid being disregarded in the field that is competitive. Though she has embraced her roots she has not let it limit her as an artist.
