Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu is an American director, actress, and singer. An intelligent and attractive actor, she is an inspirational model for many Asian actors looking to become famous in Hollywood. Following a string of early appearances on popular TV shows, the actress gained notoriety after joining the cast of the show Legal Comedy Ally McBeal where she played the evil Ling Woo. Her new-found fame was translated into roles that were filmed on the large screen in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and several other films. The actress also gave an impressive performance in the role of Japanese criminal lord O'RenIshii as part of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In the same period she also played key roles in other box-office failures including Rise: Blood Hunter. She then started voicing prominent characters in animated films, such for Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small screen roles did not achieve any successes. The role she played in the critically-acclaimed police drama Southland has helped her reestablish herself as an established actress. Liu picks her roles carefully in order to ensure she is not stereotyped in a highly competitive field. Liu has embraced her Chinese origins, yet she doesn't allow it to limit her artistically.
