Dolly Parton was born on January 19th, 1946 on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She grew up with 12 other kids. Her vivid imagination helped her escape from the harsh realities of everyday life. Before she was able to write and read, she was making up her own songs. However she left Wagoner's show in 1974 as her solo releases such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were charting collaborations with them.
