Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton, born Jan. 19, 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. to twelve poor children that would be raised as a unit eventually, realized very young the way to conquer of the challenges she encountered thanks to her incredibly vivid imagination. Prior to learning how to write and read, she composed the music she composed herself. She got her first guitar at age 8 and began her singing career on the Knoxville Tenn radio station at eleven years old. In the same year when she began recording her debut album on Gold Band Records an independent small label. Her name was made for herself on the local circuit while in the high school system, but she wanted to be on about a bigger stage. After graduating high school in 1964, she immediately relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first record to chart on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female vocalist to be a part of his syndicated show until this point. Parton accepted the role in 1966, joined RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. Then, in 1974, she left Wagoner's Show because the success of her individual songs, such as Joshua Coats of Many Colors or Jolene was way ahead of their joint release. Parton, after the split of their association with Wagoner was the one to write"I Will Never Love You and saw it climb to No. 1 for the very first time in 1974.
