Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, born Jan. 19th, 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. to twelve poor children, who would all grow up with them eventually. She learned young how to overcome of her difficulties thanks to her incredibly imaginative imagination. Before she was able to write or read, she was singing her own tunes. In the year she turned 8 at the time, she purchased her first electric guitar. She began to sing at the Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. She recorded her first album during the same year on Gold Band Records, a small, independent label. Although she was studying, she had already established herself in the local music scene. The goal for her was to be more widely well-known. When she graduated from high school in 1964, she immediately made the move to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female performer to perform on his show syndicated by him at this point. Parton took the job in the year 1966. She joined RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. In 1974, she quit The Wagoner's Show due to the popularity of her singles like Joshua Coats Of Many Colors or Jolene was outstripping their joint releases. Parton recorded I Will Always love You to Wagoner in the aftermath of their breakup. It reached No. 1. for the first time in 1974.
