Paula Patton, an American actor and producer, is well-known for her role as the lead character in Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol (an action thriller) as well as Precious (a drama). Growing up in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, she had lots of goals. Instilling a passion for film in her daughter was something that was a gift from her mother, she also enjoyed watching films. Paula participated in co-curricular school activities, and she was particularly interested in drama. Paula enjoyed acting with her friends, and she participated in the school's stage productions. After performing in a variety of shows at her high school, Hamilton Magnet Arts High School, she decided to make acting her profession. Through a program for summer at the University of Southern California, she thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She won a three-month assignment making documentaries for PBS. When she was able to complete the assignment with success, she began working as an assistant for TV documentary production. She then moved to produce documentaries. While she was awed by what she did, she yearned for the role of an actress. In the romantic comedy Hitch she starred in a minor part alongside Will Smith. Since then, she has been in numerous films as well as TV series.
